Potato Wizards
Summary
Potato Wizards is a 2 player head to head 17 card game. Pay for spells by drawing cards, but avoid drawing the CURSED POTATO. If you do, get rid of it as fast as you can because if your opponent calls “KABOOM,” you’ll explode.
Inspired by Hot Potato and the fan favorite MTG format Dandan/Forgetful Fish, you’ll be bluffing and guessing your way through each round until someone calls “KABOOM” and the game is over in an instant.
Will you play fast and risky, drawing plenty of cards giving you options and information? Or will you play small and sneaky, avoiding the CURSED POTATO by drawing cards as little as possible?
How did I do the Art?
To fit the them of the game, I set out to make “homemade” and “earthy” looking art. I initially considered lino-cut and collage, but due to time constraints realized I needed to cut some corners. To achieve the final look I created angular vector art. I then scanned a variety of colors and textures of paper. I even digitally added a shadow to some pieces to add to that real scanned paper feeling.
